Food Security Agency of Boyolali Regency

The Food Security Agency of Boyolali Regency is a local government agency responsible for supporting food security and monitoring food-related conditions within the region, including food safety and community food programs. I joined the agency’s Food Safety & Food Consumption division, gaining direct exposure to food safety monitoring and public service activities in local communities.

Food safety monitoring requires direct assessment of products circulating in traditional markets, where various food products need to be screened for potential chemical hazards. During my internship, I supported food safety surveillance activities across traditional markets in Boyolali and assisted officers in conducting rapid screening of food samples for substances such as formalin, borax, and chemical residues.

I assisted in rapid test analyses on 60+ food samples, supported 40+ local food entrepreneurs through a Food Safety Testing Socialization Program, and co-organized a product development training event in partnership with Lokality, a startup platform, which was successfully attended by 90+ participants.
